Summer Session 2008
June 23 – Aug 1
CCB offers the same high quality training during the summer as we do during the regular school year.  We encourage all students to continue their dance training during the summer and we offer flexible payment options to accommodate busy summer schedules.

Advanced Ballet Intensive

August 11 - August 22

Monday - Friday 10am to 3pm

*MANCHESTER STUDIO

~For the serious ballet student aged 12 and up

with a minimum of 1 year pointe experience~

 

Under the direction of Wendy Fish-Lawrence and David Lawrence, the program is designed to enrich, enhance and energize the student’s development as a “total” dancer.  A team of guest, professional teachers as well as CCB faculty will teach a variety of classes including: daily ballet class, pointe, variations, modern, jazz, partnering and ethnic dances.  Enrichment classes such as Pilates, nutrition for dancers, hair & makeup class and music will also be offered.

 

Intermediate Ballet Intensive

August 4 - August 8

Monday - Friday 10am to 3pm

~For the intermediate ballet student aged 8 to 11~ 

 

            Under the direction of Wendy Fish-Lawrence and David Lawrence, the program is designed to expose the younger ballet student to a more intense and diverse program of classes.  A team of guest, professional teachers as well as CCB faculty will teach a variety of classes including: daily ballet class, variations, modern, choreography, jazz and ethnic dance.  Enrichment classes such as Pilates, nutrition for dancers, hair & makeup class, ballet history and music will also be offered.

Creative Dance Camp
June 23 - July 3
Monday - Friday 9am to noon
*MANCHESTER STUDIO
~For ages 6 to 11 - no dance experience required~
Taught and created by Lorelei Chang, this camp is for adventurous children ages 6 – 11.  This year Ms. Chang has re-created her summer dance camp with a lot of exciting activities that fit the many interests of young minds with a focus on the creative side of dance.  A different theme each day will be described in detail in advance so that students can prepare and participate before they come to camp each day.  Our mission is to help children learn dance in a positive, creative and fun environment while nurturing their spirit through physically, mentally and emotionally healthy channels.

Day Four – Storytelling
Day Five – Princesses and Princes
Day Six – Props Possibilities

Baby Steps Mini-Camp

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:30am to 11am

~For ages 18 months - 3 years~
Artistic Director (and mom of a toddler) Wendy Fish-Lawrence and Music Teacher Amy Cele team up to introduce toddlers to the joys of movement and music.  Mommies (and Daddies, too) are invited to join their little ones in the studio as we sing, dance and imagine!  Age appropriate activities will help develop motor skills, language development and socialization.

Discover Dance Camp
July 14 - July 18
Monday - Friday 9am to noon

~For ages 3-5 - no dance experience required~  
 
Artistic Director  Wendy Fish-Lawrence will guide our young participants through the exciting world of ballet!  Students will learn all about a famous ballet by reading the story and watching excerpts on dvd and real ballet dancers perform in the studio.  Then we will spend the week creating our own dances, making costumes and props, and performing our own version of this wonderful story!  Special guest appearances by experienced dancers from CCB and other surprises await!
